Good News on "How to Make Webcomics"

For all of you who pre-ordered the new book,
How To Make Webcomics (...and there are a LOT of you! Thank you!), I come bearing good news! Image Comics just informed us that the in-store date for the book is
March 12th!
If you pre-ordered your book from the Sheldon Store, that means we should be able to start shipping them out on the 13th!
Huzzah! Huzzah, I say!
The orders with an Artist Edition will ship out 1-to-2 days later — only because it takes time to put an awesome sketch in everyone's book.
I have very high hopes for this book impacting cartoonists young and old...so I can't wait for it to get out into the world. If you have an artist in your life who you think might like it, pick up a copy!*
*P.S. We're going to try to put together a PDF of the first 20 pages or so, to show you what the book is like. Look for that in a few days.

However, (dumb ol' me) I ordered mine though Barnes and Noble last month and they sent me an email last week telling me it won't ship 'til the end of the month.
Dang it, I should've ordered it through the Sheldon Store!!

Maaan, I can't wait! I hope it arrives in time for my holidays, so I can read it right away. And I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a Sheldon or Dante sketch, cause those are the only ones missing in my AE collection so far.

By in-store, do you mean at Barnes & Noble and Borders, or comic shops, or just in at Image for shipping?

As far as I know — never having worked with Image before — an "in-store date" means that's the date the book will be in stores. Could be wrong, though!

I was just curious; sometimes comic-related stuff shows up in the comic shop on release day, but the bookstore doesn't have it until the next month or so.
Either that, or my local B&N is really lazy about ordering.

I am filled with Antici...PATION. I've already ordered my AE and am just waiting patiently. I may even do the happy happy joy joy dance later. My version sort of looks like Jed Clampet's dance, the womens love it I tell's ya.
