I'm working on Sheldon himself, but I gotta tell you. It's downright creepy so far.

I've gone through the Youtube videos of the Spore creatures. There are literally dozens of videos of creatures of each shape and size. But there seems to be a pattern forming here. Most of the monsters seem to fall into one of three different categories.
Category 1: Look I created an animal not found in nature.
Category 2: Look, I created an animal based on a pop culture reference.
Catergory 3: Look, It's genitalia with legs and a face. Huge genitalia. Freakishly huge genitalia in proportion to it's body size.
I thank sordid euphemism for resisting temptation and going for group 2 instead of three.

Yeah, well, I don't think Dave would appreciate extreme interpretations of his characters...

Thanks for sharing those -- that's very cool to see how Spore would approximate them.
It's interesting to see how primate-like Flaco came out. Is that a algorithm of the game? Something that doesn't allow for lizard-like life-forms?
In any case, thanks for sharing that!

He came out like that due to the fact that I wanted hands, and not hand-looking feet, so he had to be hunched over, use his tail for balance, etc. The algorithms are clever; if I were to change those arms to legs, he'd move more like a lizard.
The bowler hat is a bony knuckle called 'rockne' in the creator, sized and molded a bit to make the right shape.
I've given up on Sheldon for now. Trying to get the glasses and face right without driving me into the realm of nightmare is an impossible task. ;)

speaking of Arthur and Flaco on sites and stuff, I found Arhtur on Myspace, after begging my cousin to search for him. didn't get to read it, but I know he's there, and it's awsome!
