Strip for June 27
posted Friday, June 27, 2008 - 05:11 AM (#43526)

First post ever! :)

I'm interested in these last names:

Sheldon M...
Dante Ca(l)...

And Arthur Duck, apparently!

Shouldn't Flaco be Flaco Duck, as he is Arthur's son? ;)

Does it matter? Cause this strip is a full case of win with a side of awesomesauce. :)

Now we know how Sheldon got Sheldonsoft to be such a globally-competitive company.

It does matter, seeing as the question concerning Sheldon's last name has been one of the most frequently asked ever ) That really surprised me, too. And it makes clear that the Sheldon-Sheldon does in fact not have anything in common with the Four-Foodgroups-Sheldon.

Actually, it turns out that Arthur's last name is Dent. Yes, Sheldon is that big of a nerd that he named the duck Arthur Dent.

So this would be a semi-Bill Watterson approach to last names? He never revealed Calvin's last name. Never gave even a clue. Even the first names of his parents (do we know Gramp's first name, by any chance?).

Nope, I don't think we know Gramp's name yet, either.

(Although...if someone knows if I did include it in a strip at one point, by all means link away!)

Is Gramps a veteran, by any chance? Army? Marines? Maybe that's where he saved a man's life.
