Well, I assume it's going to turn out that his parents are real life people that we *might* know, so he left out Sheldon's last name in order to keep the mystery :p. Just my $0.02, but either way, I re-read that one where Gramps said "Heck, you even saved a man's life once" (linked to at the top of this page). Are we ever goign to see that storyline?

Personally I don't really have an idea...but I really like the most of the names that have been listed. I think this is alot of fun in the guessing and watching but please don't make us wait too long like months and months. We really would like to know!!

hm...i've studied the strip, and I don't think it could be anything too long. It wouldn't fit on the page. It's possible you weren't being too particular about it, but you strike me as the type of cartoonist who would take that to heart (I think it's a good thing).

Anyway, I'd guess Murphy. Sheldon Murphy. But I think, as someone else suggested, that McNeil sounds good as well.
