08/13 Strip: Checking out the competition

My favourite was the reference to the Potterverse and the Dementors.

Also the nod to Marvel and Dr. Seuss didn't hurt. I think the last strip to pack this many pop-culture references into a few panels was this one [sheldoncomics.com].

If your main competition in any event is a Dementor, Doctor Doom and The Grinch, you're in a heap of trouble.

Actually, I think that the worst comic strip character he could come up against would probably be Sherman or Megan of Sherman's Lagoon.
