BBC - home of Doctor Who

laugh at the OLD Doctor Who? Even the ones thanks to the late and great Douglas Adams? How could you!
Incidentally the crack about the scale of budget etc is not actually a squillion miles off the mark!

As to the BBC only producing (in addition to Doctor Who) nothing but gardening programmes and documetaries on the Second World war - well, how could you in that too? You forget all those ruddy cookery programmes, property related programmes and others that fall under the general heading of 'watching paint dry' not just gardening and el Alamein. Really, really good value for the BBC poll tax, er, I mean license fee. Thank the Lord I no longer have to buy one!

(Although to be fair, coverage of the Royal British Legion Festival of Rememberance last night was good as always).

The only thing I don't look forward to on Saturdays is my wife's obsession with "Bargain Hunt" on BBC.

With that said, I do have to say that "Top Gear" almost makes up for the rest of the awful, awful programming. Where else can you see a Bugatti Veyron going 243 mph while being driven by "Captain Slow?"
