How Tall is Arthur?

I gotta a funny series of e-mails from Sheldonista Philip C., yesterday:

Dave,
How tall is Arthur? Many times you said 14 inches, but on Sept 27, 2003 he was 8 inches.

And then this e-mail:

Dave
On October 31, 2003 Arthur is now 10 inches.
You're doing this on purpose."

I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT, PHILIP. IT ALL LOOKS CONSISTENT TO ME. la la la la la *fingers in ears*

It depends on whether you're talking human inches, duck inches or Kellett inches.

Arthur himself says 14 inches, but the 8 inches and 10 inches are Sheldon's estimates. I can't recall off the top of my head if Arthur has ever been inconsistent, but since no one has ever measured him, you can't really fault them for guessing incorrectly, can you? :)

Those situations are exactly the sort where Sheldon would exaggerate for effect. And who knows, Arthur might add an inch to his height for ego's sake.

Yanno...I'm off from work with bronchitus; relaxing by reading the Sheldon archives, (While listening to Jack Benny) and now I'm a fanboy? (And a writer of one hell of a run-on sentence!)I knew I shoulda stuck with the Girl Genius archives.

It depends on how you measure him--he's 14 inches from his webbed feet to the tip of his beak when he's looking up, 10 inches tall if he isn't looking up, and 8 inches tall from webbed feet to shoulder when he's looking at the ground.
