And if you happen to work at Google...man, throw me a bone with these dang spam algorithms. It happens every 6 months or so. :(

Greetings from Switzerland, a land where men are not afraid to have beards and mustaches ^^
First of all, thanks Dave for the info, and thanks of course for Sheldon
In fact don't forget dumb people - you can follow any guide by Google for sending bulk mail, if enough dumb people dub the Sheldon Newsletter as "spam", after a while enough people will have done that in order for the Spam Filter to consider our beloved Sheldon Comic to be spam... against dumbness, there's nothing better than ... you awareness ^^
Maybe this could be an inspiration for a strip ;)
Gmail users! I have also gone through this and you can go to the More Actions tab and then go to Filter Messages like these and then go to next step use the (do_not_reply@sheldoncomics.com)address and check Never send to spam box and then click Create Filter box and you are set.
Cheers!
I haven't gmail account but my job's mail account stopped allowing Sheldon to reach my inbox. I changed to my hotmail account. Never arrived. Tried again and again to get it delivered and completed the form thingy. Nada. I quit so I come to the Sheldon page every day. Makes my day brighter. :) Thanx Dave!
As mentioned earlier, if enough people mark the message as spam, Gmail's filter will make a rule for it that applies to every user of Gmail.
Anyone who gets the emails, go to your spam box, select the Sheldon emails, and click "not spam". If enough people do that, the spam rule can be overridden. Further, you can make a filter that sends any emails sent from the Sheldon email address to "never mark as spam".
Thank you. :)
Brilliance is fleeting, but Dumbth has a million-year halflife. All it takes is one or two fools who can't be bothered to use the proper Unsubscribe methods and just flags it as Spam. And "Voila!" it goes away.
Once you trip Google's Spam system, it pit-bulls and does everyone...
And I haven't gone through to look, but you probably get a bunch of "Unsubscribe Me Naow!!!" posts to this forum, too. Same people. And they don't say what address they want you to stop sending to, either.
Much thanks for the heads up. I knew I wasn't getting my Sheldon, but I didn't even think to look in my spam folder.
Of course,Gmail has that folder discreetly tucked out of sight so we can all pretend that no one is sending us offers for Viagra.
Turns out the good folks at Google were also spam-canning my weekly GQ, which I wasn't noticing because, hey, weekly.
I've been using a Gmail account for years. Currently I've never seen the daily email flagged as spam.
Now this could be because I've email Dave some things in the past so he's been automatically white-listed for my account.
I'm not saying that everyone should spam Dave with a bunch of messages but you can white-list his domain and then nothing gets flagged as spam. I'll see if I can refind the directions to white-list a domain using wildcards in Gmail.
