Ironically enough the real @gramp 's last update was on September 2nd 2009.
You should write him to ask if he would give up his account. He's got 6 followers, 3 of which look like spambots.
Next, I should mention Twitter...since that's the topic o' the day in the strip. And I'll be honest, here: For all its faults, I've become addicted to Twitter.
Facebook, I've never really gotten into. I mean, I guess I log in every once in a while...but it's not really my style. It's a big elaborate hook just to show me your vacation photos.
But the bare-bones style of Twitter I really respond to: It's the substance without all the window-dressing.
If you're a Twitter user, feel free to listen to my blatherings over at http://www.twitter.com/davekellett.

Personally, I'm more like Gramp in today's cartoon. I have a Twitter account but have maybe used it twice. I tried finding friends who use it and tried following them, but found that I wasn't logging in to see what they had to say. I can't even get into using it for work. Guess I like the window dressing of Facebook more.
As a guy with no social life, nor any desire to acquire one. I have yet to see what the appeal of any social networking site is, nobody's that interesting.
I'm 39, yet I agree with Gramps. I use FB mainly because I work from home, and have friends all over the world, and if I call them, I generally end up waking them from deep sleep. Twitter is annoying. If you want to have stream-of-consciousness go read something obscure, but please keep it off my phone.
I want to make me a twitter but i really dont want to be wasting my time on nothing lots of my friends have one but idk should i get one
And I really would need some tips if i did, and how to use it and some friends of course.
