Waaiit a minute -- this is from June 2009....isn't that stretching the annual popularity contest out a little? Great strip, but surely there were 10 at-least-as-good in this actual year.

Are there lists of top 10's from all the previous years? I should think that the dude with access to the website stats (that would be the honorable Mr. Kellet) would be able to let us know what the top 10 for each year is as well as the top 10 overall of all time. And I'd be curious how much or how often the top 10 lists change.

Also, the December strips would tend to get short shrifted in this system. What if a truly astoundingly brilliant strip goes up in the last 10 days of the year? It'd never get the Top 10 recognition it deserves. Has that ever happened? Are any of the Top Ten of the year XXXX from the last 10 days of a year?

Am I addicted to useless statistics? Yes. Yes I am.

Dave says "the most popular strips of 2010," based on pageviews. But does he mean the most popular strips that were posted in 2010, or does he mean the most popular strips that were viewed in 2010, regardless of when they were posted? The former seems the most likely, but still, the latter is a possibility. It probably depends upon how his pageview statistics are broken down.
