Check out Sheldon managing his company way back in 2002!

Wow, does Sheldon even still have the company?
Its been some time since it's been brought up, or gramps trying to stop him wasting millions on something ridiculous, that was always funny.

Yeah, I kind of wondered why he didn't just sell off the company and live off the interest from the proceeds. Except, of course, I figured that Dave wanted to occasionally dip into business-related jokes.
It also provides a springboard if Dave wants to tell a more involved story: Sheldon loses the company and/or his fortune, and somehow has to win it back.

I hope not. That's really such a cliche story-line by now. I'm sure Dave would come up with something a bit more original if he wanted to do a more involved story, rather than to rehash that storyline again.

Well, he could lose his business/fortune and *not* get it back. Gramps undoubtably has his own retirement income, and is surely smart enough to have put some of Sheldon's money aside into secure investments or whatever, so they wouldn't be in poverty. And I don't think it would be that much of an inconvenience for Sheldon if he couldn't afford to buy a small country.
