Robert Frost [sheldoncomics.com] is my 1st cousin, 5 times removed (he's my great-great-great-grandfather's cousin). Related by blood. And yet, I really don't like poetry all that much, and his not much more. Possibly odd.

I would say you just haven't read the right poem. I've never met anyone who hasn't liked Robert W. Service:

There are strange things done in the midnight sun
