Read my Eisner-nominated book...free!

Tuesday, April 17, 2012 - 05:52 PM

Hey guys! Remember last year when I got nominated for the "Best Humor" book for the Eisner Awards, and was super complimented, and got super excited, and then totally lost big-time? WELL LET'S DO IT AGAIN 'CAUSE THEY NOMINATED ME TWO YEARS IN A ROW!

My book, "Coffee: It's What's For Dinner" was nominated for the "Best Humor" category of the Eisner Awards!

Woohoo!

And to celebrate, I'm giving the book out for free, with no DRM limits on it. Here's your FREE COPY (24 Mb, PDF)!

My thinking is: I may not be represented by a big ol' publisher, and may not have their giant marketing budget, but I do have the work itself. So I'm just gonna get out of the way and let the book do the talking for me. And in the meantime, what a great chance to give you guys the book for free...to say "thank you" for reading the strip!

So THANK YOU, guys, and enjoy the book!

(And Pssst: Hosting for this PDF kindly provided by Sheldon reader and software artist Wil Shipley of Delicious Library. Repay his kindness and check out his excellent media cataloguing application)!

It looks a lot more like 71.1MB to my computer than 24. Are you hiding other books in there, like password unlockable DLC? Maybe the secrets of the coffee bean that will automatically unlock if you win? The source code to Sheldon's latest project? Arthur's autobiography?

Inquiring minds want to know!

Is it coming up as 71? My apologies for the mis-type, then! Hopefully that didn't cause you any network/bandwith problems.

I own the book in paperback and now can have *Coffee* everywhere! You're the best, Dave. Your books are all great. Love the strip - and I encourage friends and relatives to read it.

Thanks for the ebook, it made a nice birthday present for me, and congrats on the nomination. On another subject, I was disappointed to see no mention of your attendance at the Calgary Comic Expo this year. I was looking forward to talking to you again.

Love these Dave! As I'm the midst of final papers and projects, these seem even more relevant. :)

Keep up the good work!!
