GRAMP: I’ve had 65 “New Years” now. When I was a boy, I’d try SO HARAD to stay up ’til 12… but end up falling’ asleep on the couch in my PJ’s.

ARTHUR looks at him silently.

GRAMP: In my 29’s I’d stay out ’til four and party it up.

GRAMP: In my 30’s and 40’s, I’d put the kids to bed and watch the ball drop on TV.

GRAMP: In my 50’s, I’d go to friend’s cocktail parties and chat about my kids.

PANEL 5
GRAMP: And now, at 65, I’m back to falling’ asleep at 8 in my PJ’s.
ARTHUR: So you’re defining “PJ’s” as “Boxers and a Bathrobe”?
